Priscilla Luong, MD
Internal Medicine & Pediatrician, and Cosmetic Specialist
Since 2007, Priscilla Luong, MD, has been practicing both internal and pediatric medicine at our Family Practice Clinic in Sarasota, Florida. She completed her residency at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, where the focus is on the holistic point of view of mental, bio, social, and economic status.

Dr. Luong, one of our experienced family care specialists and doctors in Sarasota, aims to improve those struggling with diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and coronary arterial disease. Her background uniquely qualifies her to help teenagers transition into adulthood with physical and mental health.
She enjoys spending time with her family of six. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, and outdoor activities.
John Yee, MD
Family Medicine & Wound Care Specialist
With over 18 years of experience as a trusted board-certified family physician, John S. Yee, MD, welcomes new and existing patients to Volusia Medical Center, your premier primary care clinic in Florida.

While Dr. Yee regularly provides comprehensive exams for individuals and families, he specializes in chronic disease management services. Dr. Yee can assist patients who face challenges such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, to name a few.

Lisa Black, MD
Family Medicine
Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Lisa discovered her love for medicine at an early age. Drawn to the idea of helping others and making a positive impact on their lives, she pursued her dreams by attending LSU medical school in New Orleans, followed by a three-year family medicine residency program back in her hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana. After completing her studies, Lisa joined a four physician medical practice in a rural community in South Louisiana, where she served the community and raised four beautiful children for the past 25 years. During the pandemic, amidst a few major life changes, she has relocated to beautiful Central Florida where she joined Volusia Medical Center. Her approach to medicine is one that encompasses wellness first, with every attempt made to address every issue as holistically and naturally as possible.
Robert Sessoms, MD
Family Medicine
After graduating from High School Dr. Sessoms joined the U. S. Navy where he trained and worked as a Hospital Corpsman ( Medic). He enjoyed the Science of Medicine and began his pursuit of becoming a doctor. He graduated from Pontiac General Hospital Family Practice Residency program. He has worked in a variety of settings including rural, Academic and private practice. Dr. Sessoms' practice style has evolved to where he believes a healthy diet is as important as the medicines you take and he tries to engage his patients to work on developing healthy eating as part of their treatment.

He is also a published children's book author.
Julian Johnson, PA-C
Family Medicine
Highly experienced Physician Assistant with over 17 years of expertise in family practice, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages. A veteran of the military, where he served as a medic, He brings a unique blend of clinical skills and emotional intelligence to his practice.

Outside of medicine, he has a creative soul with a passion for art and music. You can often find him exploring the vibrant city of New Orleans, soaking up its rich culture and history.
Jessica Reader, APRN
Family Medicine
Jessica is a dedicated and driven Nurse Practitioner with over five years of experience. She specializes in primary care, neurology, pulmonary, sleep medicine, natural solutions, and weight loss. Having lived in Florida since elementary school, she has a deep connection to the community and a passion for helping people achieve optimal health. Her approach blends evidence-based medicine with holistic strategies to empower individuals on their wellness journey.
Magdalena Skowronska, DNP, APRN
Family Medicine

Magdalena "Maggie" Skowronska has been in the healthcare field for over 30 years. She started as a trauma nurse in New York City's number one receiving trauma center and then moved to Florida to continue her nursing career, where she also worked as a NASCAR nurse. She is now a dual-certified nurse practitioner in family practice and acute care. Her background is composed of trauma care, urgent care, and hospitalist care. She also has a doctorate degree in the practice of nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she graduated with a 4.0. Maggie believes that empathy is not something you learn, but something you have. It is imperative that all her patients feel empathy and compassion in her care for them.
Maggie loves being in the water and loves to swim and enjoy water activities. Maggie is very family-oriented, and her life is very grounded with her family. She loves animals and has two furbabies of her own. Her dream one day is to own a no-kill shelter and rescue animals.
Wen-Ling Lin, APRN
Family Medicine
Wen-Ling, who goes by her nickname Demi, has been with the Volusia Medical Center working as a Nurse Practitioner since October 2023. She began her nursing career in the late 1980s in her hometown of Taichung, Taiwan. Demi left nursing to raise two children in the United States before returning to nursing school and getting a BSN degree from the University of Central Florida. While working as a full-time nurse, she pursued her Master’s in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Chamberlain University. During the pandemic, Demi completed her clinicals while working for various hospitals as a full-time and then as a travel nurse. After completing her master’s, she worked locally in Volusia County.
Demi treats her patients as if they are part of her family. She likes Hello Kitty, traveling with her husband to different parts of the world, and going back home to Taiwan to visit family.

Adrianne Ortiz, RND
Nutritionist
Adrianne Ortiz, RND has been practicing nutrition since 2011. She graduated from the University of the Philippines and spent 5 years working in wellness projects and 3 years focusing on weight management programs in different countries such as the Middle east and United Kingdom.

Adrianne aims to provide support to individuals struggling to lose weight and manage different diseases through diet therapy.
​
She is a cancer survivor and she enjoys playing and caring for her five wonderful dogs.

Fitness Mentor
Stephen is a medical assistant and fitness mentor with a personal understanding of the transformative power of exercise. Having once struggled with his own weight, he successfully lost 100+ pounds and discovered a newfound passion for fitness. Now, he is dedicated to helping others achieve their own wellness goals, sharing the strategies and support that helped him succeed. In his free time, he also coaches a competitive cheerleading team. Go Sharks! Let's get fit together!
